A passion for wildlife can manifest in a multitude of ways. As a visual problem-solver, I feel uniquely qualified to broaden awareness regarding animal-related issues and institutions. Over the past two years, I have dedicated myself to studying Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design and subsequently developed a strong interest in incorporating animal-related themes into my work. This subject matter has distinguished me from my peers.
I would express the beauty and characteristics of marine life using a variety of approaches, my favorites being watercolor, pastel, and digital software. I created an illustration for an article called Ending Sea Turtle Farming in my Illustration Markets class. After this project, I was inspired to learn more about animals with difficult living conditions. I hope that, through my paintings, I can convey the visual power of animals to people who would otherwise overlook these issues.
I will continue creating animal-related illustrations in the coming year and expand my work to include pattern and product design in addition to editorial illustrations. As I branch off into markets that have a broader consumer base, I can spread my message in a fun and informative matter to people of all demographics.
